Join Greenwich Dance for our Lindy Hop Social Night at Abbey Wood Community Centre – You can learn a few moves from a live dance teacher and then party the night away!
Lindy Hop is a vibrant social dance form with a rich cultural African American Jazz Dance history starting in the dance halls of Harlem, New York City and the historic Savoy Ballroom. Come along on your own or with a few friends and learn some steps from professional Lindy Hop dancers Temujin Gill, Sunanda Biswas and Wendy Steatham in a welcoming environment.
We are also joined by a live DJ Kate Pierdou. You would normally catch Kate on Jazz FM, Wednesday evenings with [The Big Easy] at 9pm.
There will be free soft drinks and cake available too! What's not to love? Come and Lindy Hop with us at Abbey Wood Community Centre.
The event is free, but you must book your place to attend. Funded by the Royal Borough of Greenwich for Black History 365
